What does BG1 DudleyFix do?
This FixPack addresses a whole load of scripting, spelling and file errors in Baldur's Gate and Tales of the Sword Coast. Yes, you should install Baldurdash first, and no, DudleyFix does not duplicate anything Baldurdash did, it fixes everything else. Aasim, AR0615 - has incorrectly
defined shield in his inventory which prevents
it from appearing.
- Change Item 2 to SHLD04.ITM.

as he has an incorrect Script name.

05.11.04 BARESH.BCS, BARWLF.CRE, MENDA4.DLG
- Baresh, AR1004 - is worth 1500 exp before
he turns into a Loup Garou worth 420 exp, which is not consistent
with his abilities compared to the basic Werewolf. If using his
correct CRE file he should still be worth less than Kaishas being
weaker than her. Additionally if Mendas is killed before changing
into a Loup Garou then Baresh turns into a plain Werewolf (not
necessarily an error).
- Change action in BCS to ForceSpell(Myself,BERESH_CHANGE).
- Change XP Value from 1800 to 1500 in CRE.
- Change action in [Actions 0 and 1] from ActionOverride("Baresh",ApplySpell(Myself,KAISHAS_CHANGE))
to ActionOverride("Baresh",ApplySpell(Myself,BERESH_CHANGE)).

your neck yet she wields a sword.
- Change Name and Short name attributes
from Clair De'lain to Clair De'Lain.
- Change Default Script from WTASIGHT
to WTARGST.
- Change Sex from Error (-98) to Female
(2).
- Change Gender from Unknown - 158
to Female - 2.
- Change Weapon 1 slot from Long Sword
+1 to Long Bow +1.
- Add Long Sword +1 to Weapon 2 slot.
- Add 10 Arrows +1 to Quiver 1 slot.

- Cult Ambush, AR1000 - contains
poorly defined Script names
that affect which way the cultists face.
- Change Script name in CULT1.CRE to CultGuard.
- Change Script name in CULT3.CRE to CultWizard2.

- Daese, AR1504 - once she
has transformed she is incorrectly
titled as Werewolf when she is a Wolfwere. Her
normal
form has no gender although
her wolfwere form is male. Additionally she is
worth more
as a human than as a wolfwere
despite being considerably weaker as an opponent.

- Fahrington, AR3000 - is described as a druid
but has his class defined as Cleric. He also has no alignment.
His entire dialogue sounds like a spaced-out priest so it would
make sense to correct the one errant reference to his druidness.
He needs
to be Level
3 to be able to legally use Hold Person.
- Edit string 15719 to say "Fahrington, a strange priest..."
- Change alignment from None to Lawful Good.
- Change Level 1st class to 3.
- Change Current HP and Max HP from 8 to 16.
29.07.06 FLAM2.CRE
- Flaming Fist Mercenary, AR2400 - is the wrong
class, has no alignment. THAC0 and Saving Throws are incorrect.
- Change class to Fighter/Cleric.
- Change alignment from None to Lawful Neutral.
- Change Level 2nd class to 5.
- THAC0 is 17 and should be 16.
- Saving Throws are 13 . 14 . 15 . 16 . 16 and should be
9 . 13 . 12 . 15 . 14.
05.11.04 FARM.CRE, FARM3.CRE, FARM4.CRE, FARMER.CRE,
DIALOG.TLK strings 30*, 60*
- Lahl, AR3300, AR4800, AR4807,
AR4808, AR4900 - occurs
in several places many times over.
I suspect there should be only one
of him. I propose LAHL.CRE as the
true Lahl in AR2000. All other
files should be retitled "Farmer".
- Create new Name and Short
name attributes: Farmer.

- Forthel August, AR0131 -
offers 200gp for a tale but
his CRE file only has 4gp so the Player gets short-changed.

- Palin, AR2400 - calls
himself Ted in his dialogue
though his Name and Short name is Palin. But Palin
is a character
on N Balduran's Island, AR1500.
It would make most sense to rename this Palin to "Hunter" as
if he was renamed Ted his introduction
would be pointless.
- Create new Name and Short
name attributes in HUNTER.CRE:

Lore is too high. She should not have any priest spells above Level

- Remove Known priest spells above Level 1.
- Remove Memorized spells above Level limit (Command,
Magical Stone and one Magic Missile removed).
- Change Lore to 6.

- Parda, AR2600 -
is incorrectly referenced by the area script

- Ramazith, AR0137 - he fails to give you the Bracers
of Defense AC7 he alludes to in return for handing over Abela.

- Silence, AR0809 - has female speech files despite
having a male appearance and attributes. Considering
that she has specially made sound
files I would suggest she should be made entirely
female.

- Change Sex attribute from Male/Neither
(1) to Female (2).
- Change Gender attribute from Male

which makes her turn hostile when she hears Mutamin's

for help (using his SHOUT.BCS).
He was the
villain who petrified her
in the first place by means of his basilisks. The
fix should
also change her Sex and Gender
attributes to match her outward appearance i.e.
female
